The Olympics have always been a place for celebration, where the best athletes from countries around the globe promote peace and unity through athleticism. Held in Barcelona, Spain, the 1992 Summer Olympics featured athletes from 169 countries participating in 286 events in 32 different sports. Due to the recent collapse of the Soviet Union, former states participated under the name "Unified Team" bringing home a total of 112 Olympic medals.
