Parcel Post & Special Delivery

Although the only Parcel Post stamps were issued in 1912 and quickly discontinued, Parcel Post is still a big business for the Post Office. Special Delivery stamps were introduced in 1885, promising immediate delivery upon receipt at the Post Office. Special Delivery service was discontinued in 1997.
