The Butterfly Garden Flowers stamps are issued in coils with two designs, cosmos and scabiosas, two flowers that butterflies love to seek out. Scabiosas are also called pincushion flowers since they look like a pincushion filled with needles. Cosmos, also known as the Mexican aster, grow on a sprawling plant that produces an abundance of blossoms. Adding these two plants to a well-designed garden filled with plenty of color from native plants will provide a beautiful refuge for butterflies and gardeners alike. With recent concern about assisting these winged pollinators, butterfly gardening as a hobby has grown. The requirements for a successful butterfly garden are few: plenty of sun, the right types of plants, and no pesticides.
