Bavaria #5 6kr - 1850 Issue

Before its unification in 1871, Germany was a group of independent duchies, kingdoms, principalities, and city-states. Most issued their own postage stamps, which are highly prized today as forerunners of stamps issued by modern Germany. This 6kr brown used  stamp was issued in 1850 by Bavaria. (Bavaria #5)
