Nazi Nuremburg Congress - #B106 1937 Mint Never-Hinged Sheet

Hitler’s annual Nuremberg Nazi Party rallies were massive events designed not only to produce a spectacular show for spectators, but to publicize the power of the menacing Nazi Party to the rest of the world. An estimated 1 million people attended the week-long “Rally of Labor” at a Zeppelin field in the Bavarian city of Nuremberg. A commemorative sheet originally issued to commemorate Hitler’s 48th birthday was overprinted to mark the opening of this event. (Germany #B106)
