1916-1922 Imperforate & Coil Issues #481-497
Previously, coil stamps were printed from flat plates and strips of stamps were spliced together to make coil rolls. Now, with the rotary press in use, stamps were printed from curved plates fitted around a cylinder, causing rotary press stamps to be slightly taller or wider than their flat plate counterparts, whose frame measured 18-19 mm wide and 22 mm high.
